Inspection, Maintenance & Repairs

DTGS carry out inspections, maintenance and repairs on physical education, gymnasium, sports hall and outdoor play equipment. Our customers include schools, leisure centres, local authorities, the public, prisons and MOD establishments. We have over 30 years experience which gives us the expertise to work on a huge range of equipment from all different suppliers and manufacturers.

We are able to offer establishments who have equipment of any quantity an inspection and/or maintenance contract to suit their requirements. Leading suppliers such as Niels Larsen recommend that equipment is inspected annually by an experienced contractor and that this time is reduced to six months if the equipment is subject to heavy use. We currently visit schools throughout Cornwall, Devon and South/West Somerset on an annual basis carrying out a service or inspection on the P.E. equipment. We are able to offer a cost effective service to these customers by batching together schools in the same area. However, we do carry out work in single schools at a very competitive rate.

From time to time and for a variety of reasons equipment is damaged or broken. If these problems are identified during the annual check then a repair is made on site where possible. If more parts are required or consent is not given then a report is left with the school, highlighting the equipment that is in need of repair along with an estimated cost. When called out to such problems we carry a large number of spare parts on our vehicles. We are also able to buy spare parts from all leading manufacturers and effect a repair (where feasible) in many cases within days of receiving an order. Although we will do our utmost to fix any problems it is sometimes necessary to replace the equipment. On these occasions we are happy to quote for the supply and where applicable the installation.
